The Bitihorn towers unmistakably right next to the well-known road through the Jotunheimen National Park in Norway. The altitude is manageable for alpine conditions at 1607 m, yet the mountain enjoys great popularity in the summer months, as a well-marked hiking trail leads to the summit, which is equipped with a tower. From the nearby winter sports resort of Beitostølen, as well as from the tourist cabin of the same name located by Lake Bygdin, many hikers take on the climb to the striking summit of Bitihorn every year.
