The artwork story

The silence of the night still hangs over Jotunheimen as the horizon begins to glow. The warm orange of the dawning day bathes the vast high-mountain sky in a light that shines nowhere else with such clarity and tranquility. In the foreground, a solitary road winds its way through the barren plateau—a quiet reminder that humans are merely guests here, nothing more.

The Bitihorn rises strikingly from the plateau, a solitary peak that draws the eye while simultaneously opening up the view—to the chain of lakes below, to the terraced ridges behind, to a horizon that seems to stretch on endlessly. The lakes lie calm and dark among the rocks, barely reflecting, holding still.
