Personal advice

Do you have any questions? I will be happy to advise you on this travel offer.

The trail running online coaching session takes place via a one-on-one video call. Before the session, you’ll receive a short questionnaire so we can make the most of our time together.

Typical topics of discussion (selection):

  • Race preparation: Training plan for a specific race, taper strategy, race-day plan, pacing calculation based on elevation gain and course characteristics, mandatory gear, and drop bag planning.
  • Injury Management & Rehabilitation: Assessment of symptoms (ligaments, hamstrings, knees, soles of the feet), load management during rehab, transition back to training, prevention of relapses, coordination with physical therapy.
  • Training Planning & Periodization: Weekly structure based on performance level and available time, intensity distribution, elevation gain progression, strength and stability training as a supplement.
  • Altitude Training & Training Camps: Timing and benefits of altitude camps, acclimatization considerations, performance expectations at altitude, risk assessment.
  • Equipment & Nutrition: Shoe selection based on terrain and foot type, use of poles during races, nutrition strategy for long runs, calorie planning for ultras.
  • Running Technique: Uphill and downhill technique, ground contact and cadence, fall and fatigue prevention.
  • Mental Preparation: Goal setting, dealing with DNF thoughts, pacing discipline during races, motivation during long training phases.

For the video call, you'll need a computer with a camera and a headset.

Ongoing training support over several weeks (available upon request)

Physical therapy diagnosis or medical evaluation

Creation of a comprehensive training plan (available as a separate service upon request)

Analysis of GPS data or performance data (Garmin, Strava, etc.) – can be provided upon request

Video analysis of running form (available as a separate session)

Coaching is not a substitute for medical or physical therapy treatment. If you have existing injuries, I generally recommend working with a specialist at the same time – I supplement this process from a practical sports and mountaineering perspective. Participants are responsible for their own accident and health insurance.

Online Course Registration

Yes, and it's one of the most common reasons people reach out. I can help you make sense of the situation and find a sensible way back into training – complementing physiotherapy, not replacing it.

A stable internet connection and a modern browser for Google Meet. Optionally: your GPS watch data, route profiles, or race information – whatever feels relevant to you.

On request, yes. The single session is the starting point – anyone looking for more continuity in a trail running coaching is welcome to bring it up during the call.

English. German is also possible.
