At the prestigious PX3 – Prix de la Photographie Paris – 2025, Falko impressed the high-caliber jury as a landscape photographer and received two honorable mentions and one bronze award for three of his works. As always, the photographs bear his signature style, skillfully capturing everyday as well as unique moments in the alpine mountain world with his camera. In particular, the work Beacon of Sky Colors has already inspired many people and represents a personal milestone in his career as a photographer.
The following images received awards:

"The Photographer"
This picture was taken in the evening twilight amid the idyllic landscape of central Switzerland. Together with Marina, we climbed over 1,000 meters to photograph the unique natural surroundings bathed in golden light. At exactly 6 p.m., all the conditions were right and the shutter clicked to capture the yellow splash of color from Marina's jacket as a defining element in the autumnal landscape. Just minutes later, the sun had disappeared and the golden hues of that moment were gone forever.
The image "Der Fotograf" received an Honorable Mention in the Nature / Landscape category (Professional category).

"The Heart of the Mountain Forest"
In the Nature / Panoramic category (Professional category), this popular [panoramic photograph] (/photography/portfolio/panoramic-photography) of a Valais mountain forest at an altitude of around 2,000 m also received an Honorable Mention. While the work can also be admired here on our website as an interactive panorama, the fine art print version, measuring up to 240 cm in length, is a truly impressive work of art that almost brings the spicy scent of the trees into your own four walls.
A small hiking trail leads us into the heart of this mystical world of ancient trees, moss- and grass-covered ground, and scattered patches of sunlight that create a friendly atmosphere in this alpine zone. Where might it lead? "The Heart of the Mountain Forest" describes the uniquely captured moment of light and mysticism, taken as an elaborate panoramic photograph with a panoramic head.

"Beacon of Sky Colors"
The long exposure photograph "Beacon of Sky Colors" was nominated and awarded the Bronze Prize in the Nature / Sunrise / Sunset category (non-professional category). Thanks to a tripod and a high-quality telephoto lens, this impressive shot of the Grossen Mythen and the Rigi – two well-known mountain ranges in the Central Swiss Alps around Lake Lucerne – was taken.
Thanks to the typical autumnal inversion weather conditions, a dense and uncomfortable blanket of fog swirls in the valleys, while the high Alps are sunny, clear, and warm. In the evening hours, observers are treated to a unique spectacle, and the term “beacon” is hardly an exaggeration for this atmosphere amid a billowing blanket of clouds.
