At some point, you stop visiting the mountains and start living in them. My name is Falko Burghausen, and that's exactly what happened to me.
For me, the mountains are not a hobby or a backdrop, but a way of life. As a hiking guide in training at the Association of German Mountain and Ski Guides and a Swiss Athletics-certified trail running instructor, I accompany you outdoors all year round: on hikes through secluded valleys, on snowshoe tours off the beaten track, or in trail running shoes on paths that you only know once you've walked them yourself. What drives me is not the route, but what happens along the way.
At the same time, I literally see the mountains through a second lens: as an internationally acclaimed outdoor photographer, I observe light, moods, and moments that escape the fleeting glance. I bring this sense of the extraordinary to every tour and every story I write for beAnywhere magazine.
beAnywhere is my way of bringing it all together: experience, photography, curiosity about unknown paths, and the conviction that genuine experiences in nature change something in you. Not loudly. But lastingly.
